My Boyfriend Saves the Day

I had a really crummy day. It just seemed like nothing was going right. I called up my boyfriend on the phone and vented to him about everything, and he told me to get dressed and that he would be over in a few minutes.

I threw on my clothes quickly and waited. When I heard his car come up in the driveway, I ran out to him. He signaled for me to get in.  When I got into his car, he told me that he was going to take me to get those antique chess sets I always wanted. I could not believe it. Those things were expensive.

When I told him that, he said he did not care. He wanted to do something special to help me feel better. He bought me the chess sets, and then we went out for dinner and a movie. The night went much better than my day, thanks so much to my awesome boyfriend.
